Admission Requirements Residents of Wyoming Non-Residents 3.0+ (4.0 scale) or 2.75+ and 20+ ACT/ 960+ SAT 2.75+ (4.0 scale) • All students must take and provide ACT or SAT • (writing section not required) • All students must meet high school course requirements = 4 English, 3 Math, 3 Scienceand • 3 Cultural Context Conditional admission also available! The Admissions Process Who? Seniors (as soon as junior year grades are available) When? The sooner, the better to ensure a fair chance at resources and options available What? • Application and $40 application fee • Official transcripts • ACT and/or SAT scores • AP, IB, and other transfer credits
Preparing For College Scholarships Steps To Take
Hathaway Scholarships * See Hathaway requirements * *Career Level ($1600 p/yr): Only available for certificate programs or Applied Science degrees. 4 full time semesters, requires 2.5 GPA & 17 ACT
Success Curriculum for2011 & After Graduates • To be eligible, you need: • 4 years of math to include: Algebra 1, Geometry, & Algebra 2 • 4 years of approved science courses • 4 years of language arts (English) • 3 years of approved social studies courses • 2 years of the same foreign language* • Work with your counselor to make sure you will meet the requirements!!! • *For Hathaway Opportunity level, must meet foreign language proficiencies; 2 years not required
Rocky Mountain Scholars Awards Non-Resident Freshmen • Awarded based on GPA and ACT or SAT scores • $3,000 or $5,000 per year based on grades and scores (see grid) • Provisional and final awarding • Good for 4 years / 8 semesters, Fall & Spring (on campus courses only) • More info at www.uwyo.edu/scholarships • May 1 admission application deadline • Non-resident, children of alumni – see me
