  6. METHOD FOR ANALYSIS Total b-glucan content was determined using theenzymatic method of McCleary and Codd (1991). The same procedure was carried out for the insoluble fraction of b-glucan after extraction for 120 min with distilled water at 38°C. The soluble fraction was calculated for difference (total minus insoluble b-glucan), following the indications by Åman and Graham (1987). AVEQ final Meeting – Bucarest, 18-22 October 2010
