About Andrew Prokos • Andrew Prokos was born in Chicago IL, in 1975. • Education • Proko’s art appears in museums in Toronto, New York, and Washington D.C. and hotels and some adds. • Prokos is known for his excellent pictures with cities, and the amount of versatility he is able to do, and work with them. He likes to take pictures of the same thing, but just at different times of the day and seasons of the year, and with this amount of patience, the outcome is incredible. He also take pictures of Corporate Art, architect and other commissions such as adds. • Prokos actually started out as a model, but it wasn’t for him so he just bought his first Nikon 300 for fun, and traveled Europe where he took some neat pictures, he decided that he wanted to open up his own business back home with selling his pictures and just getting the word out that he is a individualistic photographer. It took a lot of time, effort and money but two years later, he got his first commission request from Tiffany and Co. From there on, he was asked to take pictures of buildings, some landscapes and mainly just for corporal art. His business had blossomed. • The different thing about Prokos is that he isn't your everyday photographer, he started to take pictures, and become a serious photographer at a fairly late age, and took pictures of a lot of the same things but just at different times, and one would think that this would get somewhat bland and boring, yet in return the outcome is incredible and breathtaking.

Why I Chose These Photos • The very first photo, in Italy of the ancient ruins left behind, it looks to me like the lighting that was used is natural, as goes for all the other pictures in my slide shows except for the “Broadway Signs” in Times Square. • For the first five pictures of my slideshow except for the last one is all far away angles, but of good quality. The last picture, again of time square is more close up and with city lights, it looks like it got a little work done in Photoshop too. • All of these photos, what makes them so breath-taking is really the location. You got Greece, Italy, New York, Portugal. All the amazing culture, weather and all is captured in one shot. All of these photos either show history, telling a story, and life and culture. All these pictures are worth a thousand words, and the photography left them for the viewer to interpret. I chose all these photos, because I personally like them and I want to personally all go to the places that the picture is taken someday. I think that all of these photos are absolutely beautiful and breathtaking.
