  3. SPHS Business Advisory Board 2018-2019 Mock Interview advisory: November 16, 2018 Focus: Interviewing preparedness and resume writing • 20 business partners facilitated 11th grade advisories. (445 students, 40 volunteer hours) • Updated PowerPoint with more student engagement & new video portraying good vs bad interviewing skills

SPHS Business Advisory Board 2018-2019 Financial Literacy Week March 18-22, 2019 Money grows on skills Not Trees • All Week : Trivia Questions of the Day, Tee shirts for faculty • Monday 18th– Video kick off • Tuesday 19th- Reality Fair-(Sponsored by SECU) 160 students • Wednesday 20th- Parent Night • Thursday 21st- Credit Unions Reps at all Lunches • Friday 22nd– Financial Literacy Advisories

SPHS Business Advisory Board 2018-2019 Financial Literacy Lessons: March 22, 2019 • Focus: 10th (Saving) 11th (budgeting/ saving) 12th (credit card awareness) 1,401 students • 55 business partners facilitated 10th, 11th & 12th grade advisories (55 hours) c. Family Night- Money Grows on Skills Not Trees, 4 panelists, 12 teen volunteers, 28 families, 5 BAB volunteers (157 hours) d. SECU Reality Fair- 160 students, 23 volunteers (69 hours)

SPHS Business Advisory Board 2018-2019 • Continued development of guest speakers series list for faculty (year-long) • Focus: matching teacher needs with field experts • 65 in data bank 38 different topics • Sample topics presented to classes: Health & Drug Ed, Stock Market, Media Productions, Business Management, Entrepreneurship, Employment, Speech & Debate, Leadership, Human Resources, Government, Business Credit, Patents, Brand & Image Creation, Forensics, Technology, Biology, Culinary, Financial Literacy, Non-Profits, Law Enforcement Careers, Cyber Security, Corporate Responsibility, Invasive species, Ballistics, logistics

SPHS Business Advisory Board 2018-2019 Signature • Entrepreneurial Fair- Oct. 25, 2018 (250 students, 14 presenters, 42 Hours) • Including student entrepreneurs • Healthy Teen Choices Fair-Feb. 7, 2019 (495 students, 19 presenters, 171 hours) • Explorations Course- feedback for Explorations final pitches & capstone (18 hours)
