  5. Houston Police Mentors • 10 Police Officers per academy class. • Overtime for pay. • $165,680 will be allocated for HPD OT.

  6. T.A.P.S. Curriculum • 15 weeks. • 30 classes. • Tuesdays and Thursdays. • 12:00pm-3:00pm. • 2 Saturdays (R.O.P.E.S. and Community Service). • Locations: Beechnut Academy, 7055 Beechnut St., Houston, TX/Washington DC High School.

  7. LESSON PLAN • 30 minute presentation by subject matter expert. • 30 minute discussion with mentors (2 mentors per 10 students). • 30 minute group discussion. • 1:00pm to 2:30pm.
