  3. CEA TRAINING / JANUARY 22, 2011 SHARRELL HOWARD / ARCHITECTURAL ENGINEER - I work closely with the Owner, as the Project Manager for the Architects, Engineers to be sure the all parties agree. Organization, scheduling, affordable housing, sustainable design, functionality and overall creativity are my areas of expertise. - My Focus for this project is on sustainability, overall ascetics, continuity of site and surroundings, the theme of the site, and relationship of all facilities.  Design charette

CEA TRAINING / JANUARY 22, 2011 • RASHAD HOWARD / LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT • I plan the location of buildings, roads, and walkways • I arrange flowers, shrubs, and trees. • I also design and plan the restoration of natural places disturbed by humans, such as wetlands, stream corridors, mined areas, and forested land. CEA TRAINING / JANUARY 22, 2011 • JUAN RODRIGUEZ / URBAN PLANNER • - I helped develop long- and short-term plans for the use of land and the growth and revitalization of urban, suburban, and rural communities and the region in which they are located. • My objectives are Land Use, Spatial Relationship, • Environmental issues, Zoning regulations and Effects on the development on the  entire neighborhood Design charette

CEA TRAINING / JANUARY 22, 2011 • JAMES KING / CONSTRUCTION MANAGER • I schedule and coordinate all design and construction processes, including the selection, hiring, and oversight of specialty trade contractors, such as carpentry, plumbing, or electrical, but they usually do not do any actual construction of the structure. • - I wanted to make sure problems such as phasing the project, getting materials to site and making changes on site once problems arrive were handled.   7. CEA TRAINING / JANUARY 22, 2011 A wealthy citizen willed 100 undeveloped acres of wooded land bordering an urban area. In her will she designated that the land should be comprised of a mixed income community of 150 homes. Space for some shopping, doctor’s offices, restaurants, etc. should also be planned. Although streets for vehicle traffic are needed, it was her wish that it should be convenient and safe to travel by bike or on foot throughout the community. Design charette

What is the theme, esthetics Who is paying any amounts that is not included in the amount that is not foreseen Application process? Can we include a huge grocery store or anchor store? Are their external driving forces? Are their site survey for this site? Is this land family friendly for kids? How close am I to other families( how close is my house to others homes) What is the sound volumes life? What is the night life about? Are there alcohol laws? Design charette
