Working Together • Participating on the SAE G-19 committee • Writing test methods for testing process specified in SAE standard AS5553 Counterfeit Electronic Parts: Avoidance, Detection, Mitigation, and Disposition • DoD participation: DLA and DCMA • Participating on the SAE G-21 committee • Developing a standard based on AS 55553 applicable for mechanical parts and materials • Standard drafted February 2011: AS6174, Counterfeit Material Avoidance, Detection, Mitigation, and Disposition • Re-wrote Appendix E and F adding Traceability and Control of Suppliers • Preparing for industry vote for publication • DoD participation: OSD, DCMA, DLA, NAVSEA, • Army, and NAVAIR DCMA Contractors Buying Commands
