Don’t start a conversation about your child in the hallway in front of other kids/parents. • We all want what’s best for your child. • Teaching is not a “desk job”. We are not often in front of computers during the day (email responses will vary).
When asked, teachers say, “Please remember . . .” • Be open to feedback and suggestions on your child’s strengths AND weaknesses • Support teacher creativity and initiatives at home (example: word study “game day”) • Try not to compare your child to others in the class • The Golden Rule From one parent - Send compliments up the chain of command too.
