  5. WAMPS • RECO Baltic 21 Tech - Towards Sustainable Waste Management in the Baltic Sea Region (part-financedbytheEuropeanUnion). Project leader: IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute (Sweden) • The overall objective of the project is to improve the local and regional capacity to apply the process of implementing waste management that support the implementation of the EU Waste Management Directive, helping countries in the Baltic Sea Region to address their problems with waste management and disposal. • The WAMPSsoftwaredeveloped by AlgoritmuSistemosLtd. is nowsuccessfullyused by RECO Baltic 21 Techproject partner organizations in 8 countries: Sweden, Estonia, Germany, Belarus, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Russia. • Sincetheend of 2013 theWAMPS is availableforpublicuseat www.recobaltic21.net

WAMPS • WAMPS - aninnovativesolutionfor waste management planning • The application enables the users via a web interface to carry out calculations in order to compare the environmental performance of different types of waste management systems. This is based on life cycle assessment (LCA). • WAMPS is an easy to use application and is primarily to be used as a tool and as a support for decision in the planning process. It can be used for designing the most suitable system from an environmental point of view for waste managementin a certain region with its specific conditions. The application requires that the user has basic knowledge about waste management and LCA competence.

  7. WAMPS • The user has to enter data in the following five consecutive steps, after which the environmental performance is calculated: • 1. Composition of waste • 2. Sorting of waste • 3. Treatment of waste • 4. Collection of waste • 5. Transport of waste • After the 5 steps have been completed, WAMPS shows the results for the specific study. The environmental performances are shown and divided into the environmental impact categories "Global Warming", "Acidification", "Eutrophication" and "Photo oxidant formation". WAMPS also enables the user to compare different waste scenarios of interest and export data to other formats such as Word and Excel in an easy way.

WasteHandlersStateRegister Thepurpose of theregister To registerobjectsdeterminedbythelawon waste managementbytheRepublic of Lithuania, to collect, store, process, manage, organize, and provideinformationto individualsandlegalpersonsaswellasperform otherregistry data and registry information processing operations. Registry objects: • Wastecollecting and transporting companies; • Waste processing plants; • Waste dealers and brokers; • Companiesstockinghazardous wasteonsitefor more than 6 months, and non-hazardouswastefor more than 1 year.

WasteFeesAdministration System ATRIS - an effective solution to administrate fees for municipal waste. • The municipalities, regional waste management centres, utilities and other timcompanieswhere the system has been installed, consider it as extremely useful and productive. Using the system ATRIS, managing the subscriber’s data and the concessions / exemptions accounting becomes simpler.Automatically calculated charges and fees and arranged invoices save and reduce costs. Using the program ATRIS is convenient for controlling payments and managing debts. • Thissystemiscurrentlybeingused in 30 municipalitiesin Lithuania including 4 regionalwastemanagementcenters.

WasteFeesAdministration System ATRIS Advantages • Fee calculation can be performed by an individually selected calculation model (the most common choice is by the number of population, area of the real estate object or the number of holdings). In addition, the program allows you to select the tax collection area and period; • Automatically formed local charges reports for a large number of customers, the available transmission of payment messages for automatic dispatching; • Import of the bank statements on payments, payment netting, payment entry and adjustment, rewriting obligations in case of changes in the taxpayer; • Generating debtors reports and reminders on debt; • Conducting analysis or search for information by: customer, customer groups, land, waste or container type, charges, payments, debts, periods, etc.; • After the program ATRIS is installed, fee collection tasks are automated. Using this program, it takes you just 2-3 minutes to calculate taxes for 100,000 taxpayers.
