  2. Writing Assignment: 10 June 2013 • If you could go on an adventure, what would you do? Where would you go? What would you bring with you? What might be the end of the journey? • What if you adventure was a quest? What would the quest be for and why? • Write a 2 page minimum (do not write on the back of your paper) story of your quest.

Students are to note the elements of the hero’s journey that are used in Chapter One. Next, list down the reasons you think the object you chose represents you. From your list of reasons, which one is the most powerful? Which one conveys the strongest image of you? Once you’ve chosen your main image, list down things that support this main image. Friday, 28 June 2013 • SOPHOMORE ENGLISH • VOCABULARY 18 : Quiz (set up your desks and backpacks in quiz form ) Show Mrs. Theis how you separate desks, put away all items in backpack / purse and stow those at the front, side or back of desk. • When done, quietly turn in quiz to Mrs. Theis, then quietly gather your things to do the quickwrite. • One Page Quickwrite: It is Friday of the third week of school. How proud of yourself are you for sticking it out? What issues are you having (if any) ? What would you say to someone who is truly struggling and is thinking of quitting? Give them 2-3 reasons for sticking it out.
