Emergency Management Responsibilities • Day-to-Day • Identify and analyze community vulnerabilities • Inventory and coordinate resources • Develop, review and update emergency plans • Train participants (first responders, health, public works, volunteers, utility reps, etc.) • Plan and conduct exercises • Develop and carry out public education programs • Oversee emergency management programs • Inform elected officials and government leaders

  11. What Can You Do? • Be informed. Residents look to elected officials and government leaders as a source of information. • Help spread the word about emergency preparedness. • Become part of your Emergency Management Team.
