  1. Welcome to WAR Goal: You will be able to identify, define and create examples of language features

  2. War – rules • The aim of the game is to kill off the other team. • Each team takes turns answering questions. • When you answer a question correctly you get to pick a square. • What is below the square indicates what the result is.

  3. Kill one player • Kill two players • Revive one player • Revive two players • Kill one of your own • Immunity idol (3x rounds) • Steal player from other team. • Have a second turn. • Bomb – kill four.

  4. No Man’s Land • If a team picks up a kill icon they nominate one or two players from the other team to die. • If a landmine square is activated the player that answered the question goes to No Man’s Land. • First Aid and Band-Aid squares bring back players from No Man’s Land who were in your team from the start.

  5. Rules • Only one person may answer. • The first answer heard is the answer that will be accepted. (This means you must discuss the question first) • The questions will be about language features – either giving definitions, creating examples or identifying the technique spoken.
