Our systems can be designed to operate independently from the mains in an off-grid mode, or for Tariff optimization allowing you to switch to a cheaper energy source when peak tariffs apply. 12. PRE-MIX CONCRETE • CASE STUDY • Project Overview: • A new concrete batching plant was needed in a regional area, however, the cost to extend the mains supply to the site was prohibitive. A decision was made to operate the plant fully off-grid using a combination of diesel generators for peak demand, supported with batteries and inverters to provide 24-hour power for essential supply. 13. MARLA TRAVELLERS REST… CASE STUDY Project Overview: Marla Travellers Rest is a Tourist Accommodation facility located in the far north of South Australia on the Stuart Highway. The township is remote and is not connected to the national electricity grid. A recent upgrade to the site’s power station included a new MTU 440kVa diesel genset and a new main switchboard, which incorporated Com-Ap generator controls. The upgrade Integrates with a second generator which was existing on-site. Comments: All Gen Solutions undertook the design, supply, installation, and ongoing management of the project. 14. SOUTHERN CROSS FEEDLOT… CASE STUDY Project Overview: A new upgrade to the feed mill required more energy than the existing single-phase SWER power line was able to provide. The solution was to install a new diesel power station consisting of 4 x MTU 440kva diesel generators, COM-AP generator controls, and a new main distribution switchboard. The use of multiple generators which synchronize together allows the generator capacity to match the site energy demand, while operating the MTU diesel engines at their maximum efficiency. Multiple machines provide redundancy and provide greater site reliability and productivity. The MTU engine is particularly suited to operating at low loads without long-term issues.
