  2. RESPONSIBILITIES OF KEPA • The Kosovo Environmental Protection Agency is a central institution for the state ofenvironment monitoring. Duties and responsibilities of this institution in the water sector are: • Collects and processes data for surface and ground waters of Kosovo; storage,exchange and publication of these data. • Prepares and compiles reports on the state of waters. On September 2010 we had published the first report for water: The State of Water of Kosovo. • Prepares annual report for Parliament.

  3. PREPARING REPORT OFEEA ... WISE-SoE Reporting: Rivers Water Quality • We are preparing the report for the water quality in rivers for three years: 2008, 2009 and 2010. • From a total of 54 monitoring stations as there HMIK for surface water monitoring, reporting in the EEA have selected 49 permanent monitoring points. • And a total of 16 physical-chemical parameters.

PREPARING REPORT OFEEA - WISE-SoE Reporting: Lakes Water Quality & - WISE-SoE Reporting: Groundwater quality • Monitoring of lakes in Kosovo: - doing only for the utilization of water to drink. - doing by the regional water supply companies (RWC) and the NIPH. • While groundwater is not monitored by any government institution
