  2. Current status of AQ monitoring and reporting- Monitoring - • 2 automatic stations • 1 mobile station Measured parameters include: • SO2, NO/NO2/ NOx, CO, O3, PM10,PM2.5, meteorological parameters

Current status of AQ monitoring and reporting- Monitoring - • New Air Quality Monitoring Programme provide development network for air quality monitoring and add number of stations ( which are will be donations from EU), where are we will have in total 10 stations . • Three stations are in installing phase. • Also foreseen to monitoring VOC, PAH and heavy metals in PM10/PM2.5 . • Area monitoring and Stations are classified on urban, suburban, industrial and traffic

Institutional arrangements • Responsibility for Air Quality Monitoring is HMI of Kosovo set up by Low on Ministries and Low on Air Protection • KEPA and HMIK are also responsible institution for data collection, QA/QC, reporting and assessment • Public Health Institutes operates with only two automatic stations, financed by Ministry of Healthy

Monitoring data quality procedures, data handling (un) sufficiency of the spatial coverage of the country, countrywide AQ assessment • Twinning Project “Strengthening Administrative Capacities for Implementation of Air Quality Management System” with Finlandian, Austrian and Latvian partners as support on environmental sector. • Exist 2 software's for data handling, and foreseen in the future to be software, witch will link all stations • AQ preliminary assessment has done, first assessment is in progress, territory of Kosovo is decided to have one zone and one agglomeration

  7. What options are there for improving monitoring, spatial coverage, data quality, dataflow and assessment? • One Reference Laboratory – which is foreseen to be donation of EU • Staff doesn’t have experience-training • Software for data handling and reporting – find budget /donation/ and get training

  8. How can EEA/ETC/ACM help? • Training for preparing report for EIONET • Training for Laboratory staff • Training for data validation
