Human Interaction Negatively • People have took over much of the land • People turned grasslands to farm land • Sometimes farming can harm grasslands • They cut trees
Human interaction positively • Some ranchers raise animals • Some feed animals • They plant plants

Predator and prey • Prairie dogs eat grass grasshoppers insects • Predators- foxes, coyotes, badgers, lizards, rattle snakes ,bobcats ,ferrets, falcons, and eagles • Prairie dogs are herbivores
Adaptations • They hide in their burrows • They have sharp claws to dig burrows away from the heat • Sharp eyesight to see through long grass for predators
other interesting facts • Prairie dog makes barking or chirping noises to warn others for predators • Prairie dog from squirrel family • Prairie dog lives in prairie and makes barking noises like dog that’s how it got it’s name • Kinds of grasslands- steppes, prairies, savvana, wild grasses, wheat feilds
