  2. Chinooks Pit house[ Totem Poles] They built each house partly over a hole dug out in the room so that some of the rooms can be under the ground. They had no windows Makahs Wooden house They were in rows in the Chinooks villages, they were made from wooden boards. HOUSES

  3. Chinooks Clan They exchanged a lot of things like shells, dried fish, sea oil, meat, and Indian. Makahs Hunters Their language is part of the Wakashan language family. Teachers taught at the Research Center in Neah Bay. PEOPLE

  4. Fish and animals They hunted for animals, but they also fished. They ate only fish for their foods. FOODS

  5. RELIGION • Holy People were their GODS!

  6. LAND • River: the river was their landform.
