  5. FOOD • The northwest coast is like lots of other tribe. They fallow animals and fish.

  6. HOMES • They have homes as Earthen Houses, Chicken Houses, Longhouses, Tepees and, Grass Houses, igloos.

  7. CLOTHING The Northwest Coastal Indians lived in what is now Alaska along the Pacific Ocean down the coast to Northern California. • This was a rugged strip of land with many small islands, deep inlets, and narrow beaches. • The mountains rise to the shore in many places.

  8. SCULPTURE • Sculpture's just are built with hand. And some of them are still here today.

  9. Northwest Coast Indian Art Mask - Wild Man • This is a magnificent Northwest Coast Indian art mask carving of a wild man by Cody Mathias of the Squamish Nation. Cody is a master carver and lives in North Vancouver, Canada - see Cody Mathias profile. • This Northwest Coast Indian art mask is 11 inches high, 8 inches wide and 5 inches deep. The hair made of tree bark and with the bird feathers increase the width to 21 inches and 20 inches in length. The mask is signed by the carver.
