  1. West Broward High School General Meeting November 14th2013

  2. Monthly Updates • Emails will be sent out the 8th of every month. They will include… • Newsletter from out LTG • WBHS Key Club Calendar • Information about the month’s DCM • Information about the upcoming events. • Website: Please refer to this often as it will be updated with news, announcements, and upcoming events. • Bulletin Board: the Key Club bulletin board is located in the science hall way near Mr. Craw's room (#225) and it contains the calendar for the month.

  3. We will be selling Pulseras at The Hispanic Festival and DCM both on December 14th. Please make sure to bring $5 to buy a bracelet to support this amazing cause. Key Club members sell Pulseras to raise funds for impoverished children in Nicaragua.

  4. Angel Tree Project

  5. Angel Tree Project • Volunteer Shifts • Volunteers sit at the table and help the public "adopt" angels off the tree, where they would buy a gift for that child and bring the gift back to the station. • Our shifts will take place at Pembroke Lakes Mall. Key Club shifts will be December 13-15. The location of the tree and the details for volunteers will be given to us as the event approaches. The coordinator told me that we will be provided a manual and the table at the mall. • Toy Drive • The Toy Drive will take place from Nov. 18 - Dec. 12. • We will have three locations for people to bring donated toys: Library, Office, and Craw's room • A few suggested toys (not limited to): • Dolls • musical toys • action figures • fishing poles • balls - soccer, football, basketball • Skateboards • toys that you can ride on • toykitchen/dishes • board games Joint project with NHS

  6. Induction Ceremony • This year we will be having an iduction ceremony on December 5th in the WBHS Auditorium from 6:30 to 8:30. The Induction Ceremony is mandatory as we will be honoring all of our members. • The dress code is Semi-Casual • We will be giving out pins, member manuals, T- shirts, and certificates. • We will be having guest speakers.

  7. DecemberDCM • WHEN: December 14th from 1-4p.m. • WHERE: Flanagan High School • WHAT: This DCM will be a Pot Luck luncheon.

  8. Fundraiser • We will be doing a catalog fundraiser for the holidays in order to raise money for DCON. • The catalog will be distributed at the meeting. • The fundraising packet will be due on December 2nd. And the items sold will be picked up the week of midterms.
