Thorn Cross Peer Mentoring Scheme, in association with NSPCC/Childline, empowers individuals with the tools and support to make positive impacts. Since 2007, 144 peer mentors have been trained, with 87% effectively carrying out their duties. The scheme focuses on addressing offending behavior, providing mentoring skills, and fostering positive role models. Peer mentors also offer support for vulnerability, bereavement, and relationship issues, aiming to build social skills and confidence while contributing positively to society. Through talks, presentations, and active involvement in various settings, peer mentors champion the ethos that every young adult matters. Thorn Cross Mentors are there to listen, support, and reassure those in need, demonstrating the impact of changing individual worlds.
