What is Salmonella? • Gram Negative, rod shaped, non spore forming bacterium • facultative anaerobe that produces hydrogen sulfide • Typhoid fever, paratyphoid fever, food borne illness. • Salmonella Enteritis
Salmonellosis • Diarrhea • Fever • Abdominal cramps • Nausea
