Explore the endangerment of polar bears due to habitat loss and climate change. Discuss the importance of respecting indigenous cultures involved in bear hunting. Learn how controlling the food chain in the Arctic benefits the ecosystem and impacts other species. Discover the significance of polar bears as a symbol of the Arctic and the measures taken to maintain a healthy population. Delve into natural causes affecting polar bear populations and examine the role of Darwinism in species survival. Advocate for sustainable solutions to conserve polar bears by addressing the root causes of population decline and reducing carbon emissions.

The Problem • Polar bears are • in danger of losing their habitat • Their way of life • Migration to warmer climates • Climate change
The Claim • We need way to keep polar bear population up but keep in mind the respects of each culture whom hunts these animals
Food Chain Control • Keeps the food chain in the Arctic under control. • Keeps populations of seals and fish down • Keeps killer whale population down • They leave carcass for other animals
The Indiginous People and the Polar Bear • Respected by indigenous communities in the arctic • Live in harmony with polar bear. • Very few deaths
The Symbol of the Arctic • For most of us when we think of the north pole we think of the polar bear • It is also the symbol for coca cola
Health Population • Healthy population at present • Money is given when trophies are imported • Helps fund conservation
Natural Reasons • There are natural reasons we do not know of • It is not always possible for us to save everything • We are also wrong about what it “causing it” • A study showed sea ice is increasing • Studies have shown hybridization of grizzlies is related to population decrease
Darwinism • Extinction is part of nature • This follows Darwin’s Theory • We should let nature run it’s course like the dinosaurs
Our Position • Keep polar bear hunting down to the natives and watch how much fuel we are emitting.
The Solution • Find and fix the problem creating polar bear population decrease. • Look at the ecosystem they are in • Cutting down on fuel emissions • Watch for other signs from nature
