  2. HOMEWORK • Students in 4th grade should have no more than 40 minutes of homework per night. Your child might bring home: • 10 minutes of Math: a Weekly Review Sheet plus a worksheet that will reinforce the concepts from that day's lesson • 20 minutes of Reading: reading from a chapter book • 10 minutes: Any other work that was not finished during class time or corrections on graded work. • When your child is sick, time for make-up work will likely exceed the 40 minutes of normal evening work. This work is expected to be completed and returned. • Work Corrections:When graded work is returned, your student may correct mistakes and return the assignment for a better grade. Corrections on homework are worth full credit. Corrections on tests are worth half credit. This will help your student learn from mistakes, and to realize that a big part of earning good grades includes having a strong work ethic.
