  2. (Karida’s Slides) Hi everyone, this is a draft of our presentation as I am compiling everyone’s before Monday. I just put your names on each slide just to divide each temporarily before final edits.

  3. Offer free conferences and/or presentations on human trafficking. These forums can be held at universities or hotels (or other venues that are easily accessible and can accommodate a large audience) for the general public. Presenters could be law enforcement officials and presentations can include testimonies from victims of human trafficking (completely voluntary). ·         Lessons on human trafficking should be implemented into school and university curriculums to spread awareness among students. Teachers and professors can use research projects and/or papers on human trafficking to increase awareness among the younger population. Awareness will allow people to detect human trafficking and decrease their susceptibility to such crimes.

  4.      To target the incoming tourist population, reading material on the dangers and consequences of human trafficking should be provided for passengers on commercial planes. Local magazine companies could be asked to incorporate monthly articles on human trafficking into their magazines and produce them to commercial airlines. ·         Brief television programs detailing the prevalence and dangers of human trafficking should be broadcasted during local news segments. Local law enforcement agents could participate in interviews during local news programs in which they touch on the prevalence of human trafficking on Guam, how to detect and report trafficking, and the consequences of committing these crimes.

Some social psychology concepts include: -SOCIAL LEADERSHIP: through social leadership we can help each other and help reduce trafficking. -SOCIAL REPRESENTATION: by educating the community, find those who strongly believe in the trafficking reducing cause and help each other to further promote the negative situation. -SOCIAL-RESPONSIBILITY NORM: by having others more aware, they can help reduce the problem.

  8. Guam is predominantly Catholic, when there is more awareness in the community people take action to fight for their beliefs. Human Trafficking definitely goes against the church’s teachings and once the community is informed their would be drastic changes. People-There would be types of people that will benefit from human trafficking, like the industries that enforce it. When the cultural community attacks the businesses may or may not decline depending on the determination of the community as a majority. As mentioned earlier people may feel the need to ban such places however this causes conflict as not all massage parlors and areas that are suspected of human trafficking actually embody the practice. Economy-Their would be a change in Guam’s tourist attractions as the massage parlors and other organizations that utilize human trafficking
