Pskov Region Foreign relationships at interregional level • Border cooperation is based on the European frame convention of Border cooperation of territorial communities and authorities. • The Representation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation has been acting in Pskov since 1994. There are two representative offices of foreign states: Consulate of Latvian Republic (since 1993) and Pskov Chancellery of Consulate General of Estonian Republic in Saint Petersburg (since 1994). • The agreements have been signed with: • - Lubuskoe voevodstvo (Poland); • - Ministry of foreign affairs of Belarus Republic; • -Ministry of Economy of Latvian Republic; • Memorandum on cooperation with People’s Government of Xian city in Shaanxi province (China) has been signed. • The municipalities of Pskov region have signed agreements with: • - Latvian Republic; • - Belarus Republic; • -Estonian Republic.
