  8. Hey let’s walk up to each other and shoot • Wolfe ordered his men to hold fire until the French were within 25 metres • Montcalm told his army to stop at around 60 metres. Fired – too far away • Montcalm then moved to 40 metres • They stood at looked at each other for 3 minutes • French lost the staring challenged, opened fire • British used this opportunity to march forward a few more metres and fire in one organized line • Destroyed the French
