RECENT RESULTS ON GAMMA SPECTROMETRIC MEASUREMENTS AT LNGS Matthias Laubenstein I.N.F.N. - L.N.G.S.
Recent developments • two new Germanium detectors, similar to GeMPI detector (in fact they are called GeMPI-2 and GeMPI-3, GeMPI-2 still under test; GeMPI-3 arrived on October 25th, shielding still to be built) • new space available in hall A … but it is already almost filled up … GERDA Meeting @ Tübingen, TG 11
Material screening (old data)(expanded uncertainties and decision thresholds with k=2) GERDA Meeting @ Tübingen, TG 11
Material screening (with new data)(expanded uncertainties and decision thresholds with k=2) GERDA Meeting @ Tübingen, TG 11
Forthcoming results and analyses • Lexan • electronic components (in measurement also for other experiments, but up to know nothing “clean”, O(hundreths of Bq/kg) • Kapton coax cable (only 30 g, now ca. 12 days) GERDA Meeting @ Tübingen, TG 11
Still the same question marks • Time schedule for measurements ? • List of materials to be measured ? • Required sensitivities ? • Intercomparison between radioactivity analysis laboratories ? • Intercomparison between screening techniques ? GERDA Meeting @ Tübingen, TG 11
