    10. 3 En Geospatial Theater Army Teams will field to the Guard. EAC allocation is 1 per ASCC. This team basically replaces the current Planning & Control Team concept (i.e. - 132nd P&C Ft Gilliam, GA - who is the P&C Team currently responsible for 1203rd EN BN mission directives) Engineer Geospatial Theater Army Team –28 personnel – 2 Officers, 2 Warrant Officers, and 24 Enlisted. ·Mission: Performs geospatial operational planning and coordinates the activities of geospatial units and activities in the production and supply of military geospatial information and products to the ASCC. Team also coordinates with the geospatial battalion headquarters, companies, and teams. ·Capabilities: Performs geospatial operational planning for the ASCC. Coordinates with the Defense Mapping Agency, host/allied nation geospatial support activities. Generates terrain data, analyzes terrain data, prepares decision graphics, image maps, 3rd terrain perspective views, press ready color separates for map substitutes, mapping updates, tactical decision aids, and intelligence preparation of the battlefield overlays. Performs 24-hour operations. - Control Section. Commands and controls the two separate sections as well as coordinating geospatial requirements with the ASCC staff/commander, DMA, host/allied nations and other geospatial organizations. Personnel Required – 7. Equipment – 2 HMWWV’s and 1 ¾ ton Trailer. - There are two elements: Data Management section generates terrain data, analyzes terrain data, prepares decision graphics and tactical decision aids, image maps, 3rd terrain perspective views, press ready color separates for map substitutes, mapping updates, and intelligence preparation of the battlefield overlays. Data Generation section provides rapid terrain analysis and low volume production of large format, high resolution, multi-color geospatial products used by the commanders. Personnel Required – 21. Equipment – 1 DTSS-B, 2 DTSS-D, 1 HMMWV, and 1 LMTV Truck Cargo. ·Unit is dependent on the ASCC for combat health support, religious, legal, finance, personnel and administrative support, food service and supply. ·Mobility: Unit must be 70% mobile. 3 En Geospatial Theater Army Teams will field to the Guard. Geospatial Information and Services (GI&S) Section – 8 personnel – 1 Officer, 1 Warrant Officer, and 6 Enlisted. ·Mission: Coordinates and manages technical aspects of emerging GI&S requirements, product specifications and evolving concepts with the Corps staff, echelons above corps and subordinate units. ·Capabilities:Provides advice on the use of GI&S, identifies, consolidates, and submits Corps geospatial data and digital terrain data requirements. Maintains close operation with the GPC, geospatial companies and divisional geospatial teams. Performs 24-hour operations. - Team provides advice on the use of GI&S, identifies, consolidates, and submits Corps geospatial data and digital terrain data requirements. Maintains close operation with the Engineer Geospatial Planning Cell, Engineer Geospatial Companies and divisional Engineer Geospatial Teams/Detachments. Section consists of 8 personnel with geospatial equipment (1 DTSS-D) allowing this section to perform 24 hrs operations. TRANSISTION ISSUES/CONCERNS 21S40 (82D) EPPS Progression Officer Progression No Support Structure 215D Shortage 21U / 21S / 74B Training Seats MTT and TEC Support Required No Phase II NCOES (BNCOC / ANCOC) for RC Currently SIPERNET Funding Non-existent for RC 21S40 - No E1 - E6 progression. Officer - No LT - CPT slots for Geospatial development/growth to fill O4/O5 slots. No support personnel - cooks, mechanics, supply, admin, commo, etc. Will have to displace current personnel with support MOSs. Who will provide this support to the new force structure? FTUS Manning - Assumes Officers and 21Us can be slotted against new force structure. FTUS Displacement - 4 AGRS displaced? (3 HHC / 1 1204th). OMS 27 - Will it stay in place to support 186th and new structure? 215D shortages - 3 Age 60 (1 in 2005 / 2 in 2006) 21U / 21S / 74B - All Hard Skill MOSs. Training Seat availability? MTT will have to be conducted no matter where the teams are located in Alabama to provide initial fill. No Phase II NCOES for Hard Skill MOSs (BNCOC / ANCOC) - Is a current force structure problem for us. NCOs are not taught any additional technical knowledge beyond AIT. Phase I for BNCOC/ANCOC are common core. 21S40 - No E1 - E6 progression. Officer - No LT - CPT slots for Geospatial development/growth to fill O4/O5 slots.
