  13. *MAY USE MID-BANK ELEVATORS IF THEY TERMINATE MIN. 5 FLOORS BELOW FIRE FLOOR - KNOW YOUR SOURCE OF INFO!

  14. BEGINNING ASCENT • CAPTAIN DETERMINES SAFE MEANS OF ASCENT • RELAYS STAIRWELL I.D. TO INCOMING COMPANIES

  15. DURING ASCENT • RELAY CONDITIONS AS YOU PROGRESS (KEEP TALKING, THE SYSTEM IS DESIGNED TO SUPPORT YOUR OPERATIONS) • EVALUATE TWO FLOORS BELOW THE FIRE FLOOR FOR STAGING ?

  17. FIRE FLOOR • IF FIRE, WHAT IS BURNING, LIFE HAZARDS?, EXTENSION OF FIRE? • ASSUME DIVISION SUPERVISION OF FIRE FLOOR. • CHECK FLOOR ABOVE WHILE MEMBERS SET UP HOSELINE • TWO IN/ TWO OUT RULES APPLY • PUT HOSELINE INTO OPERATION

  18. FIRE ATTACK TACTICAL OBJECTIVES • PROTECT HALLWAYS AND CORRIDORS • PROTECT STAIRWELLS, ELEVATORS & VERTICAL SHAFTS • MOST EFFECTIVE MEANS OF SAVING LIVES = AGGRESSIVE ATTACK ON THE FIRE!!!
