  1. Peter Pan Syndrome Don’t Live In Never-Never land!

  2. Premise:Christians today must have an “understanding of the times,” so that we can properly defend ourselves and prevail against the subtlety of the enemies attacks.

  3. Isaiah 22:22 And the key of the house of David will I lay upon his shoulder; so he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open.

  4. 1 Chronicles 12:32 And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do

  5. How does this apply to us today…

  6. Revelation 3:7 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;

  7. Revelation 3:8 I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.

  8. Revelation 3:9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.

  14. A Few Thoughts to Begin…3. There is a real war, and people are dying and being taken captive daily in the war for a Kingdom.

  15. 2 Cor 10:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:

  16. 1Tim 1:18 This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare;

  17. 2Cor 10:4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

  18. We are to live life on PURPOSE, for the PURPOSE set before us!

  19. (P)Praying with all prayer: ..and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

  20. Our prayers, if Biblical, start at the Throne of God and work back out through the Holy Place to the Outer Court of our daily lives.

  21. (U)Understand the Word of God:Exo 36:1 Then wrought Bezaleel and Aholiab, and every wise hearted man, in whom the LORD put wisdom and understanding to know how to work all manner of work for the service of the sanctuary, according to all that the LORD had commanded.

  22. Psalm 102:18 This shall be written for the generation to come: and the people which shall be created shall praise the LORD.

  23. 2Cor 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. (Greek: Ktis’is = Creation)

  24. Focus: God has called us to be “wise master-builders,” and have an understanding of God’s plan for the time in which we live!

  25. If you are a part of FBC … then you are a major part in that success!

  26. (R)Read the Word:Psalm 119:4-11

  27. (P)Plan out our goals:

  28. Jeremiah 17:7 Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.

  29. Jeremiah 17:8 For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

  30. Prov 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.

  31. Prov 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

  32. (O)Obey the Action Steps:1Pe 3:15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

  39. When you UNDERSTAND your PURPOSE, you will never fall to Peter Pan Christianity!
