STRATEGIC INITIATIVES FOR ’14-’15 • School wide extended learning time (7:55-8:45AM) with research based strategies • Frequent Assessment of Progress (Almost Weekly) • Third grade is now self-contained • Fourth and Fifth grades no longer departmentalized but working in teams. • Short term action plans (45-60 day plans) • Scholastic Reading Inventory Tests to measure Lexiles • 25 Books Too Good To Miss • DIBELS Box instruction for grades (K-3) for entire year. • Communities in Schools Tutors • Use of practice test questions from PARCC Assessment and Smarter balanced assessment • Professional Learning
