  4. It Can’t Happen to Me! Every year 10-15 students do not graduate because of failing grades or loss of credit • Check progress reports • Check with teachers • Check with attendance secretary • Check SSL hours (75 needed)-see Ms. Thom – forms due THIS Thursday!! • Ask students about missing work B-CC High School Class of 2012

Saturday, April 28 ~ Senior Prom (9 p.m. – 1a.m.) and After Prom (1:30a.m. – 5:00a.m.) Friday, May 18 ~ Review Day for Exams Tuesday - Friday, May 22-25 ~ Final exams and textbook clearance Friday, May 25 ~ Final Senior Breakfast Friday, June 1 ~ Graduation Rehearsal (9 am – 1 pm) Monday, June 4 ~ Graduation (10 am – approx. 11:30 am) Important Dates B-CC High School Class of 2012

  7. Senior Prom • Saturday, April 28 • Grand Hyatt - Washington, DC • 9:00 p.m. - 1:00 a.m. • No one admitted after 11:00 p.m. • Tickets available April 23rd – 27th • Tickets are $60 per person • No tickets will be sold at the door B-CC High School Class of 2012

Prom, cont’d. • Dates not necessary • Only B-CC students and their guests permitted to attend • Dress Code: Formal • Formal portraits will be taken – pricing details will be distributed with prom tickets. Payment due at prom. • Parking garage: approximately $ 20.00 self parking, $ 42.00 valet parking B-CC High School Class of 2012

  12. Friday, May 25 ~ 8:30a.m. Obligations must be paid by 8:30 a.m. Caps, gowns, and graduation tickets distributed at 8:30 a.m. Students will not receive these items until obligations are cleared. And of course, breakfast will be served. Final Senior Breakfast B-CC High School Class of 2012

  13. Friday, June 1 Graduation Rehearsal at 9:00 a.m.in the Main Gym MANDATORY !!! Monday, June 4 Graduation at 10:00 a.m. Constitution Hall NO SCHOOL FOR UNDERCLASSMEN !!! Dates, cont’d. B-CC High School Class of 2012

Arrival at Constitution Hall • Graduation: 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 4 • Students arrive no later than 8:45 a.m. • Students enter at C or D Street lobby • Doors open to public at 9:15 a.m. • Admission for public by ticket only • Doors close at 9:55 a.m. for line-up and processional; doors reopen after processional • Buses leave B-CC at 7:30 a.m. ($12.00 per person) DEADLINE to reserve a seat: Friday, May 18 B-CC High School Class of 2012

  15. Arrival at Constitution Hall – Cont’d • We do not want anyone to get stuck in rush hour traffic and miss the beginning of graduation. • Therefore, we strongly encourage graduates, family, and invited guests to take advantage of the chartered buses or the metro. • Bus reservation forms are located in the back of the graduation packet and should be returned to Mr. Orlando on or before Friday, May 18th. B-CC High School Class of 2012

  16. Tickets • Admission to Constitution Hall by ticket only • Each graduate receives 6 tickets • Tickets distributed on Friday, May 25 at 8:30 a.m. in the school cafeteria • Return unneeded tickets to Mr. Orlando • Submit request form for additional tickets A.S.A.P. to Mr. Orlando B-CC High School Class of 2012

  17. Student Attire • Graduation is serious…Dress Appropriately • Female students: skirts, dresses, or slacks • Male students: dress shirts, ties, dress pants • Dress shoes for all students • Not permitted: tennis shoes, casual sandals, flip-flops, shorts, or jeans • No decorations or alterations to caps/gowns except for honor society cords, IB medallions & pins, etc. B-CC High School Class of 2012

  18. Photography and Video • DVD copies available for purchase for $25 when ordered in advance (order forms included in the senior mailing) • Blanton Studios will take pictures at graduation. • A website and ordering information will handed out at graduation rehearsal and will be posted on the BCC website. B-CC High School Class of 2012

  19. Student Service Learning • Need 75 hours to graduate • See Ms. Thom • Due THIS Thursday!!! B-CC High School Class of 2012
