Everybody wants to throw the perfect summer BBQ. There’s nothing better than the smell of burgers hot on the grill, a cold beer, maybe the pops of fireworks being set off especially when enjoyed after a long cold winter. Nothing goes great with a hot day like sweet tea. It’s one of the best summer drinks.

How To Make The Perfect Sweet Tea Everybody wants to throw the perfect summer BBQ. There’s nothing better than the smell of burgers hot on the grill, a cold beer, maybe the pops of fireworks being set off especially when enjoyed after a long cold winter. Nothing goes great with a hot day like sweet tea. It’s one of the best summer drinks. For the adults, you can make it spiked, adding vodka to turn it into, a cool refreshing summer alcoholic beverage. For the kids, you can serve it sans the alcohol, the perfect sweet drink for a day spent out in the sun. For an extra dose of flair and fun, you can serve the tea in mason jars. You can usually get a bunch of mason jars and other restaurant equipment you may need at a restaurant supply store. A store like American Chef Supply is a great place to stoke up on quality gear at good prices for all your restaurant equipment supply needs. To make the sweet tea, you will first want to start with a simple sugar. To make a simple sugar, you need to bring a mixture of sugar and water to a boil with a one to one ratio. How much simple sugar you make depends on how much sweet tea you intend to make. Two cups of simple sugar will be enough for four cups of sweet tea. Four cups of simple sugar will be required for eight cups of sweet tea. Eight cups of simple sugar will be required for sixteen cups of sweet tea. The night before your BBQ, you want to make your iced tea. Boil your water and once it cools add two tea bags for every cup of water
you used. Be sure to use black tea. If you want, you can use decaffeinated black tea. I find that Earl Grey works really well too. Then, take out the tea bags and add the same amount of cold water that you used, meaning if you boiled four cups of water, add four cups of cold water now. Let this sit, then add your simple syrup and lemon to taste. Be sure to stir in everything good and well. For the spiked version, add in a three-fourths cup of citrus vodka. You can add more or less depending on taste and desired potency. Let this chill overnight and enjoy in the sun the next day. Content Source
