  3. Unit Rate • Rate for one unit of a given quantity • To find a unit rate, divide the first quantity by the second. • Ex: there are 15 grams of fat in 5 servings of canned soup. • What is this expressed as a rate? • What is the unit rate? That is, how much per 1 serving? • 3 grams per serving
