Appointments and Pre-arranged absences Birthday celebrations Friendly reminders about incorrect IC score(s) Issues that arise that may affect your child's performance

  4. Communication (continued) All announcements, curriculum information, upcoming party information, guest speakers, lessons and outcomes will be posted on our web-site. All upcoming TESTS, QUIZZES and PROJECT DUE DATES will be posted on the calendar portion of our web-site. We will NOT be sending home a paper copy of our newsletter; ALL newsletter information will be posted on our web-site

Absences Absent work will posted on the District Web-Site under your child's teacher's name Please remind your child to access the site or get the missed work from their teacher upon their return Also, for every day your child misses class, they will receive that many days to complete the work and turn it in to the teacher directly.

  6. Planner Use Students will be expected to write all homework assignments in their planners everyday Students should “look ahead” in their planner to manage time for completion of projects, AR books to be finished, tests, quizzes and study guide due dates

  7. Study Habits Homework is seen as work that is NOT completed in class and needs to be finished at home Practice spelling daily- TESTS on Thursdays Practice x facts- should know all facts by 6th grade- Timed Tests given weekly Students are given notice when upcoming TESTS are...BE SURE TO STUDY PRIOR TO THE NIGHT BEFORE THE TEST!

  8. Study Habits- (continued) Your child has access to ALL textbooks and will be able to take them home to finish work, study for quizzes or tests. Also, your child's math, science and social studies books are available online. Hallway/Lockers/Snacks Students are given 5 minutes of monitored passing time for lockers, restroom and drink Expected voice volume in the hall is a “1” or lower (whisper) Lockers are to be used to keep all materials, lunches, jackets, etc.. AND PLEASE KEEP THEM CLEAN Snacks: * Nutritious, easy, neat, clean up wrapper(s) and please- NO SHARING Of SNACKS.

  11. Consequence: Following as an effect or result of actionTeachers will provide CLEAR GUIDELINES of behavioral and academic expectations. BEHAVIOR: Proximity of teacher Change of seat Discussion w/ teacher in the hall Repeated behavior- discussion with parents and principal ACADEMIC: Documented by teacher Stay in to complete task Repeated behavior- discussion with parents and principal
