Parts of Speech A noun is a word that names a person, place, or thing. Person: The boy jumped. Place: We went to the park. Thing: I love my dog.
Parts of Speech A pronoun takes the place of one or more nouns. Some pronouns include he, she, we, and they. Molly likes to play. She likes to play.
Parts of Speech A verb tells what the subject of a sentence does or did. The pilot flew an airplane.
