Reading: Our comprehension focus is main idea/details in informational texts. **Please remember that our weekly story is just a practice of this skill. Our test will be a “cold read”. Phonics: Our focus will be on words with the suffix –ed/-ing . We’ll also study synonyms. Writing: We’ll continue to work on opinion paragraphs. Social Studies: We’ll begin discussing how citizens impact our communities. Science: We’ll continue learning about animal group characteristics. • Parent Notes • This Thursday is Book Character Day. Please remember that students must have a book that goes with their costume. Please also be mindful of how appropriate the costume is for school. Thursday is a normal instructional day; therefore, costumes should not distract from student learning. • Mrs. Wallace, our art teacher, will be sending home info on their annual art fundraiser during the week of Nov. 1st.
