  3. Introduction What is population? Population is that how many people live in a place. What is population density? The population density is the average number of people living in a unit area.It is measured in the number of people per square kilometer. Population density = population/area of a country

  4. Population distribution of Europe Population distribution is uneven.NE Europe and Italy are densely populated. Other areas in the S and W are moderately populated.The Scandinavian countries. (Finland,Norway and Sweden.)are sparely populated.

  5. Population structure 1.Population structure means the sex and age distribution 2.Population pyramid show population structure 3.aged groups are important a.Children [10-14 years of age] b.Working population [15-64 years of age] c.Aged population [65 years of aged or over]

  6. Population growth Birth rate is the number of births per 100 population.Death rate is the number of death per 100 population . Natural growth rate=Birth rate-Death rate A country with low birth rate will have a high GNP per capital.

  7. Controlling population growth Developing countries,e.g. Mexico,have high birth rate due to lack of birth control and family planning. Developed countries.e.g.Germany have low birth rate due to successful birth control and family planning. Birth control programs 1.Education is to reduce ignorance and change tradition. 2.Reward Developing countries,e.g. Egypt and Indonesia give money or gifts to families with low birth rate. 3.Punishment In China,families with more than one child will be punished. The second child will not have free education and food allowance.

  8. Conclusion Population density in the world is uneven. In China,there are 1.3 billion people living in there.It is the most populated country in the world India is the most densely populated country in the world. Macao has the least densely population .
