GCOS Views on Adaptation under the AWG-LCA • GCOS invited to propose ideas for action to the Chair of the AWG-LCA to assist in preparation of a document assembling views on adaptation • Suggestions • On national adaptation planning: • Include observation issues in NAPAs • Appoint national coordinators and committees • On Streamlining and Scaling Up Financial and Technological Support • Press Parties to provide resources to implement RAPs • Encourage Parties to support ClimDev Africa

GCOS Views on Adaptation under the AWG-LCA (continued) • On Enhancing Knowledge Sharing: • Greater data exchange encouraged, especially to take advantage of the opportunities that new and improved regional modelling presents • Sharing of tailored climate services encouraged, and capacity building to use them promoted • On Institutional Frameworks for Adaptation: • Developed countries encouraged to participate actively in GCB
