HFD Mission • The division devotes itself specifically to the human part of the nuclear system. Human Factors has its major objective to improve: task performance, system reliability, system and personnel safety, efficiency and effectiveness. The major areas of interest include but are not limited to: task design, procedures, operator selection, training, instrument and control layout and placement, stress control, anthropometrics, motivation, and information processing.
