History In 1857, Hermann Sichel founded the business in Germany. The new brand won instant recognition in the UK and before long was found in most top London hotels and restaurants. Blue Nun continued to grow through to the 1970s, where it reached sold 3.5 million bottles sold in the UK alone.
Rebranding Recently Blue Nun have attempted to change their product. They’ve added wider selection of Blue Nun Wines to their range in an effort to appeal to a larger market. Including a Blue Nun Pinot Grigio, a Blue Nun Rosé and a Blue Nun Merlot.
Gold In 2009, Blue Nun released Blue Nun Gold. A wine with real 22 Carat Gold flakes floating in the wine hoping to appeal to young women drinkers. Blue Nun Gold claims to be: 'the perfect wine for celebrations and special occasions. For life's golden moments'
