  2. Monday Groceries: You went grocery shopping over the weekend to stock up for the week. This includes one night of eating out over the weekend as well. Record the expense to your account: Budget: $95 Middle: $135 Luxury: $175

  3. Monday Luxury Entertainment Lifestyle Only: This weekend your hopped on a flight to New York to see the Notre Dame-Navy game with a friend. Your plane tickets, hotel, food and game tickets cost you $1,258.94. Make this deduction.

  4. Monday Hurry and deduct from your account the amount you are putting into savings and/or other investments! Budget: $ 50 Middle: $150 Luxury: $250

  5. Tuesday It’s time to think about your money situation!!! Take a few minutes and think about your “financial health” and answer a few questions on the handout. Staple this questionnaire to your bank account register and checkbook.

  6. Wednesday You need to pay for your cable television & internet services! Record the following amount in your account for utility expenses. Budget: $0 Middle: $71.12 Luxury: $167.78

  7. Wednesday Almost forgot!!! You luxury entertainment people went shopping in New York City while you were there for the game. You got some great deals on designer clothes and a new haircut – but spent $1356.08. Record the amount.

  8. Wednesday It’s time to close up your swimming pool and winterize your lawn. This is an expense for the luxury homeowner only!!! Deduct $295 for both services.

  9. Thursday Fashion Designers Only: Your company had a great weekend of sales and many retail stores in New York City ordered more from the line of clothing that you have been designing. Give yourself a $500 bonus as your boss is thrilled with your work!

  10. Thursday Time to fill up!!!! Record the following amounts to your account. If you don’t own a vehicle, you don’t have to take this expense. Budget: $0 Middle: $ 41 Luxury: $ 59

  11. Thursday Your monthly garbage and recycling bill is due. If you rent, you don’t have this expense. Please record this transaction using your utilities lifestyle: Budget: $0 Middle: $25 Luxury: $40

  12. Friday Payday! Record your weekly earnings in your account.

  13. Friday Your house payment or rent is due! It is due the 1st of each month …….. • Luxury: deduct $1800 for your house payment and insurance AND $150 for association fees. • Middle: deduct $930 for your house payment and insurance. • Budget: deduct $600 for rent and renter’s insurance.
