FISC TRANSPORTATION OFFICER • TO for SMSD, CAX, RTO, DETs • Provide Guidance/Training/Oversight • Liaison with other FISC Departments • Support FISC Champion for Transportation • Process Lead for FISC Norfolk Transportation
REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION OFFICER • Provide Transportation oversight, guidance, training for Mid-Atlantic Region Navy TOs (CNI sites?) • Liaison with NOLSC, Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC), Air Mobility Command (AMC), NAVSUP, etc. • Support transportation initiatives/policy/processes/ procedures/recommendations • Provide Electronic Transportation Acquisition (ETA)/PowerTrack oversight/guidance/ training/ assistance • Offer Transportation guidance and support for Navy customers, commercial carriers, shore and afloat units

NAVXPRESS PROGRAM • Definition: A local transportation network servicing Navy customers within a 50-mile radius of Naval Base Norfolk – consists of routes and point-to-point deliveries, e.g., stock issues, regional maintenance. • Service Provider: Commercial Carrier – CFS Logistics, Inc. • Funded by: NAVSUP Service-Wide Transportation (SWT) managed by NOLSC

NAVXPRESS HISTORY • 1994 – FISC San Diego study/”NAVXPRESS” established by NAVSUP • 1995 -Prototype established - Bearers & Quick- Pics/ RMC support • 1996 - Expanded to all Navy Shippers • 1997 - Continued Expansion/TIMS installed • 1998 - Present - Efficient, cost effective transportation network
