There are 2 ways to do this: the percent proportion formula ( = ), OR the multiplication method(change % to a decimal and multiply). For example: You are at Target. Your total, before tax, is $28.50. If the sales tax is 6%, what is your total, including the tax? There are two ways to solve above problem:
