Next 5 years • 5 hours offer of PE and sport per week to young people • 2012 Olympics/Paralympics • Creating a world class system for PE and School Sport • Going from good to great
To be a GREAT system Create more and better opportunities for more young people to participate, perform and lead/volunteer in high quality PE and School Sport and progress seamlessly into community sport

Performance • Modernisation of Competition structures – driven through UK School Games • Expansion of Competition manager network • Ensuring talented athletes are supported in schools • 21st century sports clubs • Increasing access to coaching
Leadership and Volunteering • Who isn’t taking a leadership and volunteering role – ensuring diversity? • Stretching down to KS3 and primary • Volunteering at major events • Developing Young Officials
Our challenges • Creating sustainable change • 16-19 provision • Availability of coaches and others to support after school sport • Competitive sport structures • Quality, quality, quality • Trusting each other • Need to focus where we can make a difference but . . . continue to take risks
