Evacuation Maps/Brochures • All Evacuation Maps are consistent with NTHMP agreed requirements • Evacuation Maps • 28 Evacuation Maps completed • 1 in Draft • Skagit County. Seattle and Tacoma have not been done from those modeled • Brochures with evacuation maps have been developed and distributed for all communities that have evacuation maps
Evacuation Protocols • Coastal Communities evacuate off a Tsunami Warning Message that is sent by State • Agreement with Whatcom County and Lummi Tribe in process
Broadcasters Tsunami Emergency Guidebook • Updated in Apr 07 • NWS/EMD provided update training to broadcasters in Seattle and on the coast
All Hazard Alert Broadcasting (AHAB) Radio • Total of 38 AHAB Radios installed – 41 including Seattle • 1 systems pending completion from partnerships • Funding received by State for 2 future systems • Satellite Control Unit operational and AHAB Radios are being monitored • 13 systems in Grays Harbor County activated by State/EOC in Oct 07 • Nov – County system tests • Dec – Coastal-wide system test

Social Science A total of 2 social science surveys have been completed in Washington this year • Surveys target school children and businesses • The 2 surveys were follow-ups to measure changes • Pending receipt of DRAFT surveys

Access to Private Lands Tsunami Evacuation • High ground in some areas are on private land • Project in Pacific County • Identified private property owners • Identified method that allows access with out private owner liability • 2nd DRAFT agreement under review by Green Diamond • Requires approval by tribal land owners
Drills and Exercises • School evacuation drills were held in September • Tsunami functional exercise in Grays Harbor County - September • End-to-end communications test completed in September

National/International Outreach • Hosted the Thailand Security Council Jun 07 • Hosted a Sri Lankan Study Tour Jun 07 • Supported the Tsunami Certification Program Jul-Aug 07 • Provided support to Puerto Rico on Tsunami Warning – Aug 07 • Provided input for tsunami warning using tone/alert systems to ITIC – Jul – Aug 07 • Worked with USAID to support Tsunami Warning Systems for Seychelles – Sep 07 • Providing briefings/materials to HI Civil Defense on Satellite control of sirens – Oct 07
