Andrew Beeghly Has Climbed Everest Army Battalion Surgeon and fitness enthusiast Andrew Beeghly performed one of the most impressive feats a human can perform when he joined an expedition to climb to Camp 2 on Mt. Everest, which is a 21,000-foot climb. Andrew Beeghly did join the team in Nepal as the team’s physician, and together they all summited through the Kumbu Ice Fall and back. Andrew Beeghly’s services were in high demand during the arduous trek.
American Board of Emergency Medicine Member Andrew Beeghly is a certified board member of the American Board of Emergency Medicine. Andrew Beeghly serves as a Battalion Surgeon for the 5th Special Forces Group of the US Army, and he has also done extensive humanitarian work in disaster areas in Haiti, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh. Since returning from his latest tour in Afghanistan, Andrew Beeghly works in a Level I trauma center in the Pennsylvania area, where he has held a medical license since 2009 and now works a few days every month. Andrew Beeghly’s other interests include the outdoors and fitness.
