  2. Turtles and tortoise are the innocent sea creatures that play a vital role in health of the land and the oceans. Marine biologists say that the existence of the sea turtles is very important for the well-being of our eco-system. www.tortoise.com

  3. Leopard tortoise: Leopard tortoises are mostly found in savannah as they are well adapted to the semi-dry weather. These tortoises stay active during the day times and sleep early to avoid cold night times. • Redfoot Tortoise: These tortoises are popular as pets as they live longer and very low maintenance.   4. Sulcata Tortoise: They are big in size and good as house pet due to their size and long life.They are the third largest tortoise species in the world. This tortoise species needs specific housing conditions and particular vegetarian diet. • Protect Turtles and Tortoises: Turtles and tortoise are under immense pressure from their habitat loss and they have been exploited by pet trade.
