Having a project manager is so important when you are taking on a big project because there are so many things to think about when doing a commercial renovation. In addition to obtaining all of the necessary licenses and permits, a general contractor will help to effectively manage the many relationships that are involved with a project, including architects, interior designers, project consultants, IT consultants, MEP engineers, sub-code officers and general contractors. Each person involved is likely to have a differing opinion in regards to what is most important for a project, but a project manager can offer an objective viewpoint and help all parties involved to stay on the same page. When there are so many people involved in a project, it can seem overwhelming, but an experienced and proficient project manager will make sure that all of those relationships are managed properly.
