Aim of the Project: Development of the legislative and institutional framework of the Turkish road transport sector in accordance with the relevant EU Acquis.
Component 1: Twinning • 11 May 2006, Kick-off Meeting • 18 months (+3 months extension) • Budget of 1 million € • Germany and Netherlands • Alignment of Turkish road transport legislation with the EU Acquis, strengthening of administrative and institutional capacity.
Component 2: Service • 30 November 2006, Kick-off Meeting • 26 October 2007, Closure • Budget of 800,000 € • Strengthening of administrative/institutional capacity of the personnel in relevant institutions dealing with road transport. • Trainings (English, transport of dangerous goods, train the trainers, computer skills and personal development, study visits)
Component 3: Supply • Ministry of Interior, Road Traffic Police • 1500 Tablet PCs, 10 mobile stations
ACTIVITIES TWINNING • 70 short-term experts from Germany and Netherlands • 47 Workshops and Meetings SERVICE • Trainings in 14 fields • 1039 people trained • English training: 380 people
